Bay Area News Group boys athlete of the week: Jayden Minor, Mountain View basketball

Mountain View basketball player Jayden Minor is the Bay Area News Group’s boys high school athlete of the week for Jan. 13-18.

In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Minor finished with 44.19% of the vote. Piedmont Hills basketball player Don Nguyen took second and Campolindo basketball player Gavin Rendle was third.

Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.

Minor, a senior, totaled 24 points and 12 rebounds to lead Mountain View to a 48-41 win over Los Gatos.
