OAKLAND — A man was fatally shot in the Bartlett area Monday morning, authorities said.
The name, age and residence of the victim have not been released.

The shooting happened about 7:12 a.m. Monday in the 3300 block of Arkansas Street, which is just south of Interstate 580 and west of 35th Avenue.
The man was found with at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
A motive for the shooting is under investigation. No arrests have been announced and no suspect information has been released.
The killing is the 28th homicide investigated by Oakland police this year. Last year at this time, police had investigated the same number of homicides in the city.
