Bay Area News Group boys athlete of the week: Chayce Formosa, Liberty baseball

Liberty baseball player Chayce Formosa is the boys athlete of the week for April 28-May 3.

In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Formosa had 54.54% to finish ahead of St. Ignatius baseball player DJ Delaney, who was second at 31.96%.

Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.

Formosa struck out 10 in a complete-game performance to lead Liberty to a 4-1 win over Pittsburg.
