Lamont Taylor, 45, has been charged with murdering Shawn Wayne Bell in a Dec. 5 shooting and Antoine Brewer, 47, has been charged with accessory after the fact for allegedly aiding in dumping Bell’s body. Both men also face gun charges, records show

Taylor’s whereabouts are unknown. Brewer was arrested on Jan. 21 and is in Santa Rita Jail on a no-bail hold, records show.

Bell’s body was discovered on Campbell Street in West Oakland on the morning of Dec. 5. Police say that Taylor shot and killed him elsewhere — they haven’t said where the homicide occurred — and that the two dumped Bell’s body in the neighborhood where it was found.

Authorities haven’t released a motive and said that witness interviews and a review of digital evidence led to the charges.
