More than $46,000 has already been raised for one of the two Cal Maritime cadets shot Tuesday evening while filling up gas at the 500 block of Tennessee Street and Sonoma Boulevard.
The two, caught in a crossfire between two other vehicles, were treated for injuries later listed as not life threatening.
A relative of the victim shot in the face said the man has had emergency surgery, and a medically induced coma, and is intensive care at UC Davis neurology ICU.

Cal Maritime police are assisting Vallejo police in the investigation according to a post sent out to students by the school on Friday. The post goes on to say that Vallejo police already have one suspect in custody.
“Both of the cadets are being treated for their injuries and I have spoken with each of them and their family members,” the statement reads. “The cadets are recovering and doing as well as can be expected given the injuries suffered. The university stands by to assist them as they navigate this violent incident, and we wish them a speedy recovery.”
“Given this unprovoked criminal attack on our colleagues, I want to remind everyone to exercise the utmost caution and always maintain situational awareness of what is going on around you,” the statement continues. “Please remain vigilant, especially after dark, as incidents such as this one can occur suddenly and without warning as they one did.Your safety is our top priority. Do not hesitate to seek assistance if you feel unsafe from criminal activity.”
