‘Scott Pilgrim,’ ‘Wedding Singer’ movie parties set for San Francisco

Film is just plain fun at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema New Mission.

Just check out one of the cool movie parties being held regularly at the San Francisco theater and you’ll definitely see what we mean.

There are a number of intriguing movie parties — featuring themed drinks/food and props to enjoy while watching a cult classic/fan favorite — on the docket for February.

The one we’re most interested in catching is the “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” movie party at 6 p.m. Feb. 11. We just can’t wait to see what the Alamo folks have in store for fans as they soak up all the wacky fun of this 2010 romantic comedy-action flick.

The Edgar Wright-directed film stars Michael Cera in the title role of Scott Pilgrim, a slacker musician who must first battle seven evil ex-boyfriends in order to date the girl of his dreams. Cera is part of an amazing ensemble cast that also includes Kieran Culkin, Anna Kendrick, Chris Evans, Jason Schwartzman and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

Tickets are $28.50

We’d also be interested in seeing “The Wedding Singer” movie party — set for 7 p.m. on Feb. 19 — if for no other reason then it reminds us that, despite all the evidence to the contrary that has been showcased on Netflix in recent years, Adam Sandler was once a really funny guy.

Plus, the movie also features a dynamite soundtrack, filled with (mostly) ’80s standards.

Tickets are $28.50.

For an evening you might end up wanting to relive over and over, check out the “Groundhog Day” Feast at 6 p.m. Feb. 2. Besides getting to watch the classic Bill Murray movie (yet again), you’ll also get to dine on a menu that includes such dishes as No Tomorrow Lasagna (with garlic-roasted mushrooms, mozzarella and parmesan sauce) and Chocolate Never Gets Old (puff pastry with white chocolate custard, strawberries and dark chocolate).

Tickets are $39.12
