San Jose: Teen homicide victim was stabbed in the heart on Valentine’s Day date, family says

Residential burglary: At 6:55 a.m., the victims reported that someone entered their residence in the 14000 block of Loma Rio Drive by breaking a sliding glass door. It is unknown if anything was stolen from the residence.

Misappropriation of lost property: At 3:27 p.m., deputies responded to a theft call at Prospect High School on Prospect Road. An investigation revealed that a student lost a cellular phone, and the suspect located and kept the phone instead of turning it in as lost property. Deputies located the suspect a short time later in possession of the phone. The suspect was cited and released.

Feb. 14

Vehicle burglary: Between 7 p.m. on Feb. 13 and 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 14, someone broke a window of a vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence in the 12000 block of Miller Avenue. Nothing was reported stolen.

Feb. 15

Vandalism: Between 3 p.m. on Feb. 14 and 3:48 p.m. on Feb. 15, someone broke a window of a vehicle parked in the 18000 block of McCoy Avenue. The damage was estimated at approximately $600.
