Palo Alto police investigating after man found dead at park

PALO ALTO — A passerby stumbled upon the body a man in a nature preserve park here on Friday morning, the Palo Alto Police Department said.

Police are investigating the incident, but do not believe that foul play was involved or that a crime was committed, authorities said.

The passerby called police at around 8 a.m. Friday, saying they found a possibly dead person at Byxbee Park in Baylands Nature Preserve, which is located at 2375 Embarcadero Road. When police and the Palo Alto Fire Department arrived, they confirmed that an adult male was deceased.
