Commodores in Campbell

The Commodores will take the stage at Campbell’s Heritage Theatre on Saturday, April 5, at 8 p.m.

In its 57-year history, the R&B group has amassed seven No. 1 singles, five No. 1 albums, 20 Top 10 singles and 15 Top 10 Albums. In 1985 the Commodores won a Grammy Award for their song “Nightshift.”

Known as the group that launched Lionel Richie’s career, the Commodores are now being fronted by Brent Carter, who has been the lead singer of Average White Band since 2011. Founding band leader William “WAK” King is still with the Commodores.
