OAKLAND — A person was injured in a shooting Thursday afternoon in East Oakland, police said.

Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of 73rd Avenue just before 2:30 p.m. for a report of a shooting, according to a spokesperson for the Oakland Police Department. They arrived to find a person suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
The victim was taken to an area hospital, where they were listed in stable condition, police said.
An investigation is underway into the shooting.
