Interactive light show to bring ‘World of Wonder’ to Milpitas

Visitors to the Great Mall Milpitas will be able to close out their shopping day this spring with a nighttime trip through the eight mystical realms of Lemuria.

“Lemuria – A World of Wonder” will spring up on 1½ acres of the Great Mall’s parking lot April 12-July 6. The walk-through event was created by International Culture Exchange Group (ICEG), which has been staging interactive light festivals in the South Bay for 14 years.

Lemuria’s mystical realms are home to fantastical creatures who live in caves, valleys and water. One realm features a volcano with simulated lava flow.

Other attractions include infinity mirror rooms embedded into the landscape; photo spaces that blend into each realm’s theme; and immersive activity rooms with laser mazes, interactive art and illuminated bouncing balls.

An “Aqua Live Spectacular” show presented by Sensational Murcia Production combines circus acts with water elements, complete with live mermaids. The show will be performed three times a night.

Lulu Huang, founder and president of ICEG, said in a release that “Lemuria” is the first in a series of “brand-new interactive fantasy worlds” that Imaginarium will introduce throughout 2025.

“Lemuria” will be open Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, 7-10 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays, 7-11 p.m. at 447 Great Mall Drive.

General admission tickets start at $21 per person at https://imaginarium360.com/milpitas or 725-272-2700. Snacks and beverages are available for purchase, and parking is free.
