Sewer upgrades
A $2.6 million construction project to replace and repair a portion of Sunnyvale’s sanitary sewer system will begin this spring and is expected to be completed in winter. The city’s contractor, Casey Construction, Inc., will repair over 10,000 feet of sanitary sewer pipe at 17 locations, including:
Morse Avenue between East Arques and East Taylor avenues; North Bayview Avenue between Hazelton and East Maude avenues; Roosevelt Avenue between East Arques and East Maude avenues; Ositos Avenue between West Olive and Sutter avenues; from 486 to 440 Nuestra Avenue;

Coolidge Avenue between Sunset and South Pastoria avenues; Waverly Street between 398 Waverly St. and McKinley Avenue; Bishop Avenue between Carroll Street and 355 Bishop Ave.; San Diego Avenue between 627 San Diego Ave. and Eureka Court; and Washington Avenue between Waverly Street and South Mathilda Avenue.

Dance for disabled
A free creative dance/movement class for individuals with disabilities ages 8 and older will be held at the Fair Oaks Park Building, 540 N. Fair Oaks Ave., on two Saturdays, April 12 and 26, 1-2 p.m.
Movements are adapted to everyone’s needs, promoting self-expression, coordination and confidence. The participant-to-staff ratio is 5:1. Participants must be independent or bring an attendant.
