The incident happened around 1:15 p.m. at a parking lot in the 200 block of Sand Creek Road, the Brentwood Police Department said in a news release. Officers arrived at the scene and quickly determined the shots were fired from two different guns.

Witnesses said everyone involved in the incident left the area in two separate cars before officers arrived, according to police.

Minutes later, a woman arrived at an area hospital with a gunshot wound, police said, adding that investigators are trying to determine if she was injured during the armed robbery. She is expected to survive.

Shots fired during the incident hit nearby buildings, but no injuries were reported, according to police.

An investigation is underway into the armed robbery, which police described as “an isolated incident with no threat to public safety.” No arrests were announced Friday.

Anyone with information related to the case can contact the police department at 925-809-7911.
