Players spring into action
Sunnyvale Community Players have lined up their spring season, featuring Shakespeare and a musical tribute to the silver screen.
The Players are staging “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” April 12–27, Shakespeare’s comedic take on a world of mischievous fairies, star-crossed lovers and bad theater.

The company’s April 20 fundraiser, “The Night on Broadway: Silver Screen Serenade,” features Bay Area performers singing iconic songs from films.
A concert production of “Guys and Dolls” will enjoy a limited run May 2-4. The classic musical features songs like “Luck Be a Lady” and “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat.”

Building a volunteer base
Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley is looking for volunteers to help on National Rebuilding Day on Saturday, April 26.
Project site volunteers are needed to help repair and maintain clients’ homes. These clients are primarily low-income veterans and older adults, families with young children and residents with disabilities.
Rebuilding Together is also looking for photographers to capture the progress at each project site, and warehouse volunteers are needed for various tasks before, during and after Rebuilding Day.
In 2024 Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley engaged 1,116 volunteers who donated 10,990 hours to perform repairs on 256 homes and two nonprofit facilities.
