Bay Area News Group boys athlete of the week: James Voorhies, College Park baseball

College Park baseball player James Voorhies is the Bay Area News Group boys athlete of the week for March 24-29.

In the boys poll, James Voorhies had 36.96% to finish ahead of Albany track and field sprinter Cooper Hu, who was second at 30.93%.

Voorhies, a senior, threw a no-hitter, striking out 14 and walking two batters in College Park’s 5-0 win over Burlingame.

Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.
