Mountain View baseball player Jaeden Pietrofeso is the Bay Area News Group boys athlete of the week for April 14-19.
In the boys poll, Pietrofeso had 50.96% of the vote to finish ahead of Castro Valley baseball player Scott Baldwin, who was second at 35.49%.
Pietrofeso, a senior threw a complete game shutout, giving up just three hits in a 1-0 win over Homestead.
