FREMONT — The Warm Springs BART station was closed Thursday evening due to a “major medical emergency,” according to the transit agency.

The incident happened just before 5 p.m. when a person entered the trackway and was possibly hit by a train, BART spokesperson Chris Filippi said in a recorded statement.
Train service is down to just one track between the Warm Springs and Milpitas stations, Filippi said. AC Transit is offering bus service on Line 217 between the Warm Springs and Milpitas stations.
