PITTSBURG — A teenager who was shot to death during a double shooting last weekend has been identified by authorities.

The April 21 gunfire about 7:20 p.m. on Belle Harbor Circle killed 17-year-old Rashan Gray, of Bay Point. The Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office released Gray’s identity.
A second person also was wounded in the shooting. That person, a male, was expected to recover after being rushed to a hospital. He had been shot more than one time.
Gray died at the scene after he also was shot more than once.
The homicide investigation is the second one by Pittsburg police this year. They have not announced any arrests.
In a statement, police said the shooting was preceded by an altercation but did not provide any other details. They have not commented on the case, citing the “active and ongoing” nature of the investigation.
A resident of the street told a local social media account that after the gunshots, an Amazon driver yelled for someone to call 911. The resident also told the account that he saw what appeared to be several teenagers running away.
