Hands on the Arts
The 40th annual Hands on the Arts festival is set for Saturday, May 3, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., at the Sunnyvale Community Center, 550 E. Remington Drive.
The event offers children ages 3-15 the chance to try more than 20 hands-on art activities inspired by cultures around the world. Each booth is designed for a specific age group to ensure maximum fun and engagement; kids can try Japanese brush painting, craft Pueblo pottery or make a glowing Ramadan paper lantern. Roving performers will provide entertainment, and food booths will provide snacks.
Upon arrival, children and their parents or guardians must check in at an information desk—located at the recreation center, indoor sports center and senior center—to pick up a tote bag and wristband.
