The collision happened around 8:10 a.m. on April 19 on Lone Tree Way, just south of James Donlon Boulevard, Antioch police Lt. Joe Njoroge said in a news release.

The man was taken to an area hospital, where he later died. He was not publicly identified Wednesday.

Njoroge said the driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and cooperated with officers.

The police department’s traffic unit is investigating the collision.

“At this time, drugs and alcohol do not appear to be contributing factors,” Njoroge said.

Anyone with information related to the case can contact Sgt. Robert Green at 925-779-6864 or [email protected], or call the police department’s non-emergency line at 925-778-2441.
