Man with knife refuses to leave Los Gatos Starbucks

TRESPASS: 11:18 a.m. at Starbucks on North Santa Cruz Avenue. A man refused to leave the restaurant. The caller said he carried a large knife on his hip and had a bicycle. The suspect didn’t threaten anyone with the knife and soon left.

INDECENT EXPOSURE: 4:08 p.m. at Starbucks on Union Avenue. A suspect was urinating near a dumpster.

May 10

NOISE DISTURBANCE: 3:23 a.m. on Topping Way. A party of juveniles or young adults was playing loud music.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON: 9:40 a.m. at Viewfield Road and Saratoga-Los Gatos Road. A man riding a kick scooter was handing out fliers for a tree service. Police were unable to locate him.

VEHICLE ACCIDENT: 12:45 p.m. at Knowles Drive and South Winchester Boulevard. A blue Subaru and a gold four-door vehicle were involved in a collision.

VEHICLE ACCIDENT: 1:25 p.m. at Union Avenue and Los Gatos-Almaden Road. Two vehicles, one heading southbound on Union Avenue and the other heading north on Los Gatos-Almaden Road, were involved in a collision.

JUVENILE DISTURBANCE: 5:33 p.m. at Blossom Hill Park on Blossom Hill Road. Three juveniles were riding through the park on e-bikes and cursing at people.

MUNICIPAL CODE VIOLATION: 8:46 p.m. on Montclair Road. A caller said his neighbor was burning scented wood. The reporting party said he checked the town municipal code before calling, which said that scented wood can’t be burned in Los Gatos.

May 11

VANDALISM: 9:45 a.m. at Bevmo on Blossom Hill Road. A man came in and knocked over a display before leaving. He returned, but the caller said they were able to lock the door before he came back inside.

NOISE DISTURBANCE: 3:50 p.m. on Los Gatos-Saratoga Road. An unhoused man was reportedly screaming. The caller said officers went out with him earlier that morning and he was quiet, but he recently started screaming again.

PETTY THEFT: 4:05 p.m. on Pine Wood Lane. The caller’s rear license plate was stolen off their blue BMW.

TRAFFIC HAZARD: 5:47 p.m. at Los Gatos-Saratoga Road and North Santa Cruz Avenue. A man kept walking out into traffic.
