A passenger was fatally stabbed on a Muni bus Sunday in San Francisco, police said. A suspect was arrested.
The attack was reported around 4:35 p.m. Sunday, May 25, on a bus in the area of Bayshore Boulevard and Cortland Avenue, near the interchange of Highway 101 and Interstate 280. Emergency responders took the victim to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A 51-year-old man matching the attacker’s description was detained near the scene and arrested on suspicion of homicide, assault with a deadly weapon and elder abuse. He is being held without bail.
Five homicides have been reported in San Francisco this month, according to the police.
