AI for young scholars
SV Young Scholars is hosting an artificial intelligence workshop series on June 7 at Cupertino City Hall, followed by a hackathon on June 8 at Maker Nexus in Sunnyvale.
The workshops include overviews of BioEthicAI Lab, used to uncover hidden biases in biomedical cases, and MIT App Inventor for rapid mobile app creation for tech projects; an Nvidia trainer-led lab to accelerate Python with GPUs and RAPIDS; and a Young Scholars pathway to college and scientific research.
The hackathon features a Maker’s Wonderland tour with a 3D printing demonstration; a DIY Personalized UV Resin Charm and a hackathon elevator pitch, followed by judging and awards.

Dragonfly walk
In the summer and early fall, dragonflies and damselflies migrate to warmer weather in California. These small insects have an incredible ability to fly long distances.
Bay Area Older Adults is hosting a Dragonfly and Damselfly Seasonal Walk on June 11 for adults ages 50 years and older, leaving at 8:30 a.m. from Saratoga or Sunnyvale.
