He died at the scene; his name has not been publicly released pending his formal identification and notification of his next of kin by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office.

At the time of the shooting, police would only say that the victim and shooter knew each other. Monday, the department announced that investigators have identified Jesus Aguilera, 44, of Sunnyvale, as their primary shooting suspect.

Aguilera was described by police as a Latino man standing 5-foot-11, weighing 190 pounds, with brown eyes and a bald head. Police said he should be considered armed and dangerous, and that anyone who sees him should call 911 and not try to contact or approach him.

Anyone with information for the investigation can contact Detective Eugene Rosette at 408-730-7110.
