A man was fatally shot Saturday in San Francisco’s Sunnydale neighborhood, and a suspect was arrested, police said.

San Francisco police officers responded around 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, to the area of Brookdale and Blythdale avenues, in the Sunnydale housing complex. They found a male victim with a gunshot wound.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene after resusciation efforts by officers and paramedics.
A 32-year-old San Francisco man was detained at the scene without incident, and a firearm was recovered, the police said. The suspect was booked into San Francisco County Jail on suspicion of murder.
