The U.S. men’s national soccer team will face Mexico in the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup final on Sunday at NRG Stadium in Houston at 4 p.m. PT.
The Americans, playing without several stars in this tournament, beat Guatemala on Wednesday night in St. Louis to reach the final. South Bay native Diego Luna scored two early goals to lead the U.S. to a 2-1 victory.
Mexico, meanwhile, beat Honduras 1-0 Wednesday night at Levi’s Stadium as fans of both nations showed up in force despite the looming specter of Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids.
This will be the eighth Gold Cup final between the nations, five of which have been won by Mexico. Overall, Mexico has won nine Gold Cups and the U.S. has won seven.
