FREMONT — One person was injured and they and three other people were displaced after a two-alarm fire Sunday night damaged two homes, officials said.
The fire erupted about 11:24 p.m. Sunday at a home on Lake Oneida Street.
Officials said an adult occupant of the home attempted unsuccessfully to extinguish the fire before firefighters arrived.
It was not immediately clear if that person got out of the burning home on their own or had to be rescued. The person sustained non-life threatening injuries but it was not clear if they had to be hospitalized.
Officials said “an aggressive interior and exterior fire attack limited the extension of the fire to the corner of an adjacent residence.”
The exact control time was not available. No other injuries were reported.
The exact cause of the fire is under investigation. A damage figure was not available.
Fire officials said the one resident of the home where the fire started and three residents of the adjacent home, including two children, were displaced.
