ANTIOCH — A 25-year-old woman suffered a gunshot wound Wednesday afternoon, and police said they are looking for the person who fired the trigger.

In a statement, police said officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 4000 block of Timberbrook Way about 2 p.m. When officers arrived, they found the woman bleeding.
Officers provided her medical aid until paramedics from the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District arrived. They also worked on the woman and put her in an ambulance that took her to a hospital.
The gunshot wound did not threaten the woman’s life, police said.
