It kicks off with Dark Skies, which runs Aug. 18 to Aug. 24, and features every Dynamax Pokémon currently in the game. The bigger event is weekend Max Finale, which features every Gigantamax Pokémon currently available, alongside chances to battle Eternamax Eternatus, Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zazamenta.
Happening Aug. 23 and Aug. 24, the fight against Eternatus is expected to be the biggest battle since the company introduced Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokemon to the mobile title. Like many of “Pokemon Go” events these days, Niantic is introducing a Go Pass: Max Finale on Aug. 18, with candies, encounters and other goodies. The Go Pass Deluxe version features increased chances to capture Shiny Dynamax Pokemon.
By doing the Go Pass, trainers will unlock an encounter with Eternatus and other Dynamax Pokemon. For the event, Niantic is increasing the active Power Spots and the Max Particle collection limit will be temporarily increased. The daily remote raid limit will also be increased.
