SAN JOSE — A baby turkey named Megara and five chickens were stolen from Emma Prusch Farm Park last weekend, and the park is asking the community for help identifying the suspect, officials said.

The baby turkey was stolen around 1:30 p.m. Sunday, according to a social media post from the park and San Jose Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services.

On Sunday night, five chickens were stolen and one killed when someone broke into the park’s chicken coop, officials said.

“These animals are beloved members of our park family,” officials said in the press release.

Officials are not sure whether the two thefts are connected, they added.
