DUBLIN — Crews on Friday afternoon were battling a brush fire at Camp Parks in Alameda County, according to fire officials.

The blaze, dubbed the Parks Fire, was first reported at 3:23 p.m. at Dougherty and Fall Creek roads, according to Cal Fire. As of 5:14 p.m., the fire had burned 118 acres.
Structures are threatened, according to Watch Duty, a volunteer-contributed mobile app and web platform that provides real-time wildfire information and alerts.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Camp Parks, also known as the U.S. Army Parks Reserve Forces Training Area, is a sub-installation for U.S. Army Garrison Fort Hunter Liggett supporting active Army, Army Reserve, National Guard, Coast Guard, Navy, Air Force and Army ROTC, according to its website.
