Allan was elected vice mayor by three of the four remaining city council members on Aug. 19 after having been appointed to fill Councilmember Evert Wolsheimer’s seat at the Aug. 5 council meeting. Allan’s term as vice mayor ends on Dec. 16.

“I had the privilege of being mayor 10 years ago and look forward to the opportunity of once again serving the residents of Monte Sereno, the truly lovely community where my wife, Mary, and I have made our home for the past 46 years,” Allan said in an email to this news organization.

There is still one vacancy remaining on the Monte Sereno City Council.
