The CHP responded about 8 a.m. to the mid-span of the bridge in the southbound direction. There, officers found a motorcyclist down and the motorcycle blocking the far two left lanes, according to initial reports confirmed by the agency.
Authorities did not identify the motorcyclist immediately, pending notification of family. The Solano County Coroner responded to the scene.
The CHP said another vehicle that was affected by the crash was a big rig, but the agency was unable to say immediately what the truck’s role in the wreck may have been.
The wreck kept the far three left lanes blocked, and they were not all open again until the CHP cleared the scene at 10:30 a.m.
