The fire was reported at 4:53 p.m. at the store in the 1400 block of Bird Avenue, according to the San Jose Fire Department.
“Heavy black smoke,” the fire department said in a social media post.
Crews confirmed the fire had not extended to the store’s interior, according to the fire department.
The fire was impacting traffic on Bird Avenue.
