A man was found dead after a fight in San Francisco’s South of Market district, and the police are investigating the case as a possible homicide.

The fight between two people was reported around 11:15 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, in the 800 block of Brannan, the police said. Officers found one man unresponsive at the scene; he was given medical aid but was declared dead after paramedics arrived.
The investigation is being conducted by the police department’s homicide division.
