Barcelona takes on Paris Saint-Germain in a highly-anticipated Champions League battle on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at noon PDT at Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium in Barcelona.
Both superteams currently lead their respective leagues, and each has just one loss this season.
Both teams also started their Champions League successfully: PSG with a 4-0 victory over Italian side Atalanta, while Barcelona beat the Premier League’s Newcastle 2-1.
PSG is the current European champion, and while they were the favorites to bring the Club World Cup trophy back to Paris, they lost 3-0 against Chelsea on July 13, so they’ll have a thorn in their side. PSG’s Ousmane Dembélé recently received the Ballon d’Or, one of global soccer’s most prestigious individual awards.
