High school football rankings Week 7, 2025: Bay Area News Group Top 25

The Archbishop Mitty train continues to chug along.

The Monarchs, who haven’t lost since their opening night defeat at Acalanes, moved up one spot in the Bay Area News Group rankings after a blowout win over Valley Christian.

Serra, another team that won in blowout fashion, dominating St. Ignatius on Saturday, moved into the Top 5.

Los Gatos dropped a spot after falling 30-27 at home to No. 3 Pittsburg.

Wilcox has rebounded nicely after opening the season with back-to-back losses to Valley Christian and Mitty. The Chargers won their third straight by blanking Capuchino 49-0. The Santa Clara powerhouse made the biggest jump of any team in the rankings, jumping five spots to No. 17.

Menlo School and Liberty leaped ahead of Valley Christian. Monte Vista and Santa Teresa also moved up.
