Dia de los Muertos

On Sunday, Nov. 2, Redwood City’s Courthouse Square will transform into a tribute to life and remembrance for a Día de los Muertos celebration. The event features live performances, Catrina face painting, contests, local art installations and a ceremonial procession through downtown. Dozens of family altars will be displayed, each telling stories of those who have passed.

Inside the San Mateo County History Museum, guests can explore a free exhibition of community-made ofrendas, while children enjoy interactive activities like sugar skull workshops and chalk drawing. A food court, decorated with papel picado, will serve traditional dishes.
