REDWOOD CITY – An investigation is underway into an injury shooting over the weekend in Redwood City, police said.

The Redwood City Police Department said it received a call from an area hospital at 11:50 p.m. Saturday reporting a gunshot victim had arrived at its emergency room.
The victim, a 20-year-old Redwood City resident, told officers he was seated in a vehicle when he was shot by an unknown suspect, police said, adding that the shooting happened in Redwood City, but the exact location has not yet been determined.
Police said the victim was treated for a single gunshot wound. The injury was not considered life-threatening.
