Lottery ticket worth more than $110,000 sold at Pleasanton supermarket

PLEASANTON — Someone bought more than groceries at a Safeway store here Monday, becoming one of three people statewide to purchase a Fantasy 5 lottery game ticket worth $110,513, officials said.

The ticket was bought at the Safeway market at 1701 Santa Rita Rd.

The winning numbers were 11, 15, 32, 33 and 36.

A store employee was not aware until told by a reporter the ticket had been purchased there and had no idea who the winner was. But the employee was nonetheless happy for them.

“Wow, that’s great news. Good for them. At least it’s in the community,” the employee said.

The other tickets with all five numbers selected were purchased at markets in San Diego and Valencia.

The winners have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their money.

Fantasy 5 is played every night of the week. Tuesday’s jackpot was estimated to be at least $77,000.
