The alleged crime happened around 9:10 a.m. on April 2 in the 1900 block of Cortereal Avenue.

Kelvin Davis, 19, is charged with robbery, assault with a firearm causing great bodily injury, possession of a machine gun, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and possession of a stolen car, according to the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office. Davis has a prior strike for robbery that enhances his possible sentence.

The victim, a man in his 40s, was shot three times, prosecutors said. He was last listed in critical but stable condition.

Keyjuanne McGhee, 21, is also charged with robbery, possession of a machine gun and possession of a stolen car, as well as being armed with a firearm in the course of a robbery, according to the district attorney’s office.

If convicted, Davis faces more than 40 years to life in prison and McGee faces more than 7 years.

Prosecutors said a juvenile was also arrested as a co-participant in the alleged crime and charged with robbery-related offenses. The Alameda County Juvenile Justice Center is overseeing his case.

Davis and McGhee are set to be arraigned Friday at the Wiley Manuel Courthouse in Oakland.
