SAN JOSE — A man died after being stabbed in downtown San Jose early Thursday morning, according to the San Jose Police Department.

Police responded to a report of a disturbance at the 300 block of South Market Street at 2:34 a.m., authorities said. There, they found an adult male who was suffering from at least one stab wound.
Despite medical aid being given to the man, he was pronounced deceased at the scene, police added.
The SJPD is investigating the incident as a homicide. No other information was immediately available.
