Carlos Santana rushed to hospital by emergency crew in Texas

Bay Area rock legend Carlos Santana was rushed to the hospital for a medical emergency just hours before he was set to take the stage for a concert in Texas on Tuesday.

After receiving treatment, Santana — a guitar great known for such popular classic rock offerings as “Oye Como Va,” “Evil Ways” and “Black Magic Woman” — is reportedly feeling much better.

The Santana show — set for the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio — is being rescheduled, although no make-up date has been given at this point.

“It is with profound disappointment that I have to inform you all that tonight’s show in San Antonio has been postponed,” Michael Vrionis, Santana’s manager, was quoted as saying on the venue’s Facebook page. “Mr. Santana was at the venue (Majestic Theatre) preparing for tonight’s show when he experienced an event that was determined to be dehydration.

“Out of an abundance of caution and the health of Mr. Santana, the decision to postpone the show was the most prudent course of action. He is doing well and is looking forward to coming back to San Antonio soon as well as continuing his US Tour.”
