Saratoga Adult Care Center announces new management, care program

Relaunching adult care

The Saratoga Adult Care Center’s new management is keeping the old acronym, but it means something different.

SASCC, which used to stand for Saratoga Area Senior Coordinating Council, now refers to Successful Aging Solutions and Community Consulting. The nonprofit direct service provider designs programs to help elderly people stay healthy and engaged with the community.

The program is available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays. Sliding scale pricing is available for $85 to $120 per day. There are no registration fees. Subsidy and assistance programs are available, and families whose annual income falls within the County Income Limits may be eligible for free participation.

To schedule a visit, register at https://bit.ly/42y8aGr.

Russian-American concert pianist to perform in Cupertino

Katya Grineva is a Russian-born pianist who is now based in Manhattan. She will be playing on an Imperial Bosendorfer grand piano, which is known for its “rich, orchestral quality,” according to the event description .

Grineva was invited to play as part of a new concert series at Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church. She has previously played at Carnegie Hall in New York a record 22 times and is the only solo female pianist to do so. The piano that Grineva will be playing was obtained through a grant from the Valley Foundation. It is the only one of its kind at a South Bay music venue, according gto St. Andrew’s.

“We are delighted that Ms. Grineva has agreed to be part of our first series, traveling from New York to play this exceptional instrument that is known for its musical excellence,” said Michael Burroughs, director of music at Saint Andrew’s.

Tickets are $25 at https://bit.ly/4lRH2d9 or https://www.st-andrews-saratoga.org or at the door. The concert is free for children under 16.
