Tesla in town

A Tesla dealership will be opening on Los Gatos Boulevard near Los Gatos-Almaden Road in the near future, town staff confirmed.

Building permits were issued for a Tesla facility at 15500 Los Gatos Blvd., according to an email from town staff to this news organization. At this time, tenant improvements to the site are nearing completion.

Town staff said there is no information regarding an opening date.

Make flowers for mom

For those who want their Mother’s Day flowers to last, New Museum Los Gatos is hosting an event to teach people how to make them from tissue paper. Participants in the workshop will be able to choose from a spectrum of colored tissue paper to make flowers for the mother figure in their lives.

The workshop will be held in NUMU’s MakerSpace May 8-11, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. each day. The activity is free with admission.

Service History Tour

Staff at the New Museum Los Gatos will be hosting a tour centered on military and firefighter service.

Visitors will be able to walk through the Los Gatos History Hall and hear from retired Los Gatos firefighter Doug Sporleder, former chief of the Santa Clara County Fire Department. Sporleder’s family has a long history of service that includes his grandfather, father and brothers.

The tour will take place on May 9, 11-11:45 a.m. at NUMU. It is free with registration  to https://www.numulosgatos.org/events/service-tour.
