During President Donald Trump’s first term, the state of California filed suit against him and his administration more than 120 times. And the state won more than two-thirds of the cases, according to California Attorney General Rob Bonta.
More than three months into Trump’s second term, the state has picked up where it left off. So far, 19 lawsuits have been filed by California.
Here’s a breakdown of the suits, and when they were filed:
Jan. 20, 2025: California, San Francisco and 21 other states sue over Trump’s birthright citizenship order
