Officers began investigating the shooting about 2:50 a.m., when a gunshot-detection system alerted them, Antioch police Lt. Matthew Koch said in a statement. The alert came from the 30 block of East Lake Drive.
The gunshot victim showed up at a hospital about the time officers were arriving to East Lake Drive, Koch said. Police did not specify how many wounds there were.
Koch said police believe it is an isolated incident but did not say what led police to that conclusion.
Police advised that anyone with information on the shooting to contact Det. Robert Ibanez at [email protected] or 925-481-8398.
