BAY POINT — Authorities are investigating another possible homicide in recent months after one person was shot and killed Saturday morning in front of a home in Bay Point, officials said.
Contra Costa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a shooting call just after 1 a.m. at a home on Harbor Drive, the sheriff’s office said in a press release.
Deputies performed “life-saving measures” on the victim until other emergency responders arrived with an ambulance, authorities said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity and the investigation is ongoing.
Saturday morning’s incident follows another fatal shooting from last month that left one person dead and another two injured in the 2100 block of Mendocino Drive.
The shooting occurred just before 1 a.m. on June 14 in a residential front yard, authorities said.
