A man was recently sentenced to 17 years to life in prison for attacking a woman at an A Line station in Pasadena, throwing her on the train tracks and dragging her onto the carpool lane of the 210 Freeway.

Flores was sentenced to 14 years to life for the attempted murder and three years for the great bodily injury allegation, said Zara Lockshin, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

He will serve the three years term first and then he will start serving his life sentence, according to Lockshin.

The case stems from what happened the morning of Aug. 7. 2024 at the Allen station for the A Line, 395 N. Allen Ave. Deputies called the attack unprovoked.

Flores assaulted the victim while she was on the station platform. At one point, he dragged her and pushed her on the tracks. He continued the assault and dragged her to the freeway.

The victim, who managed to get away, was hospitalized.

Deputies arrested Flores the same day.
