Disneyland kicks off Black History Month with gospel music and soul food

A gospel tradition featuring Southern California choirs that goes back more than a decade at Disneyland returns in February as the Anaheim theme park celebrates Black History Month with plenty of music paired with a menu of soul food.

The Celebrate Gospel music showcase featuring award-winning recording artists and Southern California community choirs returns to the Fantasyland Theatre at Disneyland on Feb. 8 and 15.

The Downtown Disney stage will feature music thoughout February — ranging from R&B, Reggae and Funk to Motown, Jazz and Doo-Wop.

Celebrate Soulfully artists will perform in the Broken Spell Lounge at the Disneyland Hotel on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in February. Jazz duos will play at the Broken Spell on Mondays through Thursdays in February.
